Hello! My name is Tanvi and I’m a graphic designer, illustrator, letterer, drawer, thinker, doer, plant-mom, cat-whisperer and vada-pav-lover.



I grew up in Mumbai in the 90s. A different, simpler Mumbai. Life was all about walks at Shivaji Park with friends sipping kala khatta, discussing the latest episode of CID and Aahat, listening to Backstreet boys on my Walkman (later mp3 player).. and reading any and every book I could get my hands on.

I devoured books. Summer vacations were all about holing up in the nearest Crossword store reading Enid Blyton, Agatha Christie, RL Stine, Mary Higgins Clark, JK Rowling.. the list is long. I was and still am endlessly fascinated with stories and the worlds that stories transfer us to. This love for storytelling has greatly inspired my work as a designer. I believe that creating compelling narratives and visual storytelling helps build an emotional connection with people.

In my undergrad, I studied Applied Arts in Mumbai. There I studied art foundation, advertising and communication design. I moved to Bangalore to pursue a Masters in Visual Communication from Srishti School of Art and Design where I explored storytelling through graphics, illustrations, sequential art and typography.

I worked at FoxyMoron as a designer for a year in 2013. After completing my Masters, I joined Rezonant Design as an illustrator & designer in 2016. In early 2018, I took on the role of a design team lead where I was responsible for heading design for multiple projects. I became Partner & Creative Director in late 2019, where I led a team of talented designers and illustrators across different projects till March 2023. I’m a critical thinker and my design practice is rooted in research, ideas and storytelling. I believe that design thinking has the power to transform society and culture.

Besides designing for brand, I’m passionate about illustration and typography and always have a pet project or two in the making. When not working, I enjoy reading, travelling, gardening and playing with my two cats.
