Design Brief
36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to express their particular interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet.
Over the years, 36 Days of Type has been a creative playground for me to experiment with different styles, techniques and colour palettes to hone my illustration and typography skills. Where it all began - 2016
Few letters from the very first edition I participated in. I experimented with different styles and techniques. The letter ‘R’ from this edition was selected for the 36 Days of Type EXPO in 2017 at Vasava Studio, Spain.
The 2017 & 2018 edition
For the 2017 & 2018 editions, I created letters on the theme of Microcosm. Microcosm means a little world. I illustrated letters which had a protagonist who was in her own little surreal and magical world.
The 2021 edition
For the 2021 edition, I again went back to exploring various styles & textures while keeping a 4-colour palette consistent throughout.
The 2022 edition
For the 2022 edition, I again experimented with a few different styles but retained a set colour palette throught the series.
